Home Insulation Grants & Insulation Survey Project for 13,000 Homes

Around 13 thousands of homes are chosen for offering insulation grants and insulation survey services to those properties more energy efficient. The Scottish Government is offering insulation assistance to selected 13,000 houses in Duddingston and Craigentinny Ward of Scotland. The area was chosen for the region’s prospect of lowering CO2 emission and to reduce fuel poverty through various measures.

This Home Insulation Scheme with purpose of helping total 96,000 homes in the Scotland are focused on two major types of home insulation – cavity wall insulation and loft insulation. Along with insulation assistance, these homes are also targeted to offer free energy audits being backed up by 15 million pound funding from Scottish Government.

According to this insulation survey and insulation grant scheme, insulation assessors will reach out to homes of targeted areas to offer them advice on energy efficiency. Along with providing householders with suggestions to improve energy efficiency of their building, their buildings are assessed to give energy data on their properties and get them signed up for receiving suitable insulation measures.

Scottish Government has targeted these properties for free energy measures to households that have low income. While low income families are given free insulation measures, higher income families are provided with discounts on insulation measures that are considered suitable after assessment. Edinburgh tends to be one of the largest supporters involved in this insulation measures and insulation survey scheme of Scotland Government. This insulation project is seen to deliver energy efficiency measures to Scotland on a large scale.
